They said that you were gone with no return.
A friend just yesterday alive, and now Just ashes left to fill a heart-shaped urn. I never guessed how swiftly fate could turn: One minute here and then the next when how They said that you were gone with no return. A moment’s all it takes to quickly burn This being who had still life time left to grow. Just ashes now to fill a heart-shaped urn. Few griefs in life come harder than to learn That—as setting suns with no tomorrow-- Beloved friends are gone with no return. A hollow piercing pain it feels to yearn (As sunlight tarnished by mists of shadow) For ashes left to fill this heart-shaped urn. Such an aching empty pain so to discern The love we shared is vanished into sorrow. They said that you’re now gone with no return; Some ashes now to fill a heart-shaped urn. |
